No, it's not. I use blue ink all the time. The reason is because I"m working with drawings, outlines, paperwork, and blueprints that are printed with black ink, and if I use a black pen to mark them up or write on them, you can't tell what is the original work and what is my comments and drawings. I've never used black ink to sign anything. And I have high-end clients who pay big bucks for my services.

I always sign with blue, usually from a fountain pen. It stands out from the rest of the text. I began doing it before there were color copiers for home and small office use, because you could tell it was an original. Now that's not the case, but I still buy blue ink so it stands out form the text.

Not at all,
My boss signs her documents in purple ink, kind of like her own signature thing. And I tend to sign mine in a special ink that changes from blue to roange in the light. Thsi way it can not be so easily reproduced or forged.

No, it's fine. Actually, it's preferrable so that the recipient knows it's an original signature and not a copy. If you use black ink, it's sometimes hard to tell if the signature is original or not.

using another color to sigh is preferred, it proves the document was not copied and brings attention to the person who sighed, the government allows for blue or black ink probably for that reason

No. I believe blue ink is the best as it shows it's not a photo copy. However, I don't think it really matters... except don't use pink, purple, etc....

absolutely not. just remember that it will distinguish the original from any copies - can matter in an audit situation.
