Do you normally have an irregular cycle? If no, then three months is a long time to go without a period and you should definitely get to the doctor ASAP. It's possible that the test was wrong (they are not 100%) in which case you would now be three months into your pregnancy and you should definitely be receiving prenatal care by now. But this is unlikely because if you were three months pregnant, you would have noticed other symptoms by now anyway.

But if your cycle is normally irregular, then yes, there are reasons for missed periods such as dieting or medical conditions such as polycistic ovary syndrome. But, if you are trying for a baby, you should have already discussed these issues with your doctor.

Bottom line ... go to the doctor!

Three months is a long time. I would talk to a doctor about it. There are so many reasons some physical and some emotional. Your doctor will be best prepared to ask you the right questions to find out why. And if your trying to conceive, then you need to make sure everything's working correctly. Were your periods regular before?

Just to add you my want to talk to the dr about running some tests, you and your partner. After a year it would be good thing to do.

Good luck

Stress & being underweight. You may have to go to the dr so he can give you something to make your periods return back to normal. I'm not sure but I think if your period don't come back that means you're not ovulating, which also means that's why you haven't gotten pregnant. I would suggest going to the dr!
Good luck!!

Dieting and over exercising, as well as stress and other illnesses can all affect whether your periods appear or not.
Maybe you could see your GP just to make sure everything is working as it should?
