She is 13 months old and she is fine going almost all day with out the bottle but nap time and bed time are bad. She won't go to sleep until she has it. I only let her have like two ounces and she is out but she wants to hold the empty bottle all night. Is there a way to break this habit?

I had a similar problem with my son when he was 12m (now 15m) he wanted to have a bottle to go to bed with and would wake up in the middle of the night for another one. So what I did was started him on the sippy cup and gave him plenty of water before bed and then left a soft toy and blanket in the bed and played soothing music. It was hard the first few nights because he cried and I just didn't want him to cry, but he got over it and is sleeping all night long and doesn't ask for the bottle. I only give sippy cup or regualr cup when he eats.

Throw all the bottles away. Then if she needs something to drink while falling asleep then give her a little water in a sippy cup. She will eventually not want anything.

Its just a habit now She really doesn't under stand My son is 13 months also but maybe have them take the bottle and trough it away. and go and buy them a special stuffed animal and let them pick it out. Hang in there it will pass.

We may have done it wrong, but we fed them before bedtime/naptime and they NEVER went to bed with a bottle. When they turned 1 yr. old, we went to sippy cups with handles on the sides and never went back. If they're thirsty they drink, if they're not, they don't. I don't know what to do for you about bed times, we never had that problem. Maybe I did it wrong, but I did the night time stints and my wife stayed in bed.

Just throw all the bottles away. She shouldn't be using a bottle to fall asleep with, it's bad for her teeth. It'll be hard but she'll get used to it.
