I've taken ansd passed a lot of driving tests.

When I was 16 I took and passed one in a Midwestern state.
When I was 20, in an African country.
When I was in my early 20's in a Western state.
When I was in my 30's in a Latin American country.
When I was almost 50 in a Northeastern state.

If I move again I'll probably have to take the written and driving test yet again.

Passed my car test first time and my motorbike test on the second. On my first motorbike test, the instructor told me to ride down a road, turn left and various other instructions which meant I would arrive back at the test centre from a different direction and he could watch my turns. However, I left him and GOT LOST!! Couldn't find my way back and eventually saw, at the end of a road, my instructor standing on the pavement peering around, so i rode up the road and apologised. He gave me a very stern look and informed me that I had just ridden, the wrong way, up a one way street! By now it was raining so I said, clearly I've failed can I go home now. And he uttered the immortal words "I am not at liberty to tell you if you have passed or failed, you must complete the whole test". So I had to carry on for another half hour, in the pouring rain, doing emergency stops and all that. At the end of it, he wrote me a failure note stating the reason "drove the wrong way around a one way street".
He could have told me that an hour ago and saved us both getting soaked!

One time but the examiner had me go back to the station after my making every mistake in the book, then he wrote on his paper and told me i passed. We would have a celebratory ride, so we went out again. This time i made no mistakes I was so happy thinking i had passed. I was 16. And I will always love that man for giving me a second chance.

Just once. But I think drivers over 75 years of age have to take it again by law in NH, so I'm pretty sure I'll be taking it again when that time comes.
