This is my second child (the first one is 9 years old
My doc said that I'm 2cm and 50% effaced, I'm feeling miserable and Monday night I experienced what I think are Braxton Hicks (only every 10 or 15 mins) continuous until about 4am. Tuesday night same thing although they were 6 to 8 minutes apart and only lasted about 45 mins. Last night (Wednesday) They started again and this tiem they were more painful and every 3 mins. During these 3 days I've had loose bowel movements and just not felt right, kind of unfocused and plain out EVIL. Yesterday my doc said I could go any day now (hello!! my due date is 1/19 ofcourse any day!!! (see evil)) He made me an appointment for next Wednesday but the nurse said I don't know honey if you'll even make it to then, but if you do we'll make an appointment for the following weeks to induce you. When your 2cm and 50 % effaced how close are you to labor??
My Mom lives in San Antonio and wants to be here when should I tell her to come??

OH and the doc also said that the baby was still kinda high but that with second time moms that could be normal and they drop last minute. . . don't know how he said that I feel like I have a football in between my legs when I walk :)

I've been 2cm, 50% dialated since 37 weeks, and I am now 40 weeks, and this is my second baby. Your doctor doesn't know when you will deliever he can only guess. Only your baby knows

Thats cool we are due the same day-jan.19th! Well i have been at 1cm dialated and 80% effaced for like 4 weeks now! I've been doing a lot of walking and everything else. Tomarrow i get my membranes stripped. So you could have a while yet or you could go today. Nobody really knows except for the baby! But Good Luck!

Gosh I hear you!!! My second was kinda high too!!!!!!! They had to induce me and she did not come down til the end!!!!!!!!! I'm from San Antonio but now I live NorthEast of Dallas...........well all in all I think if the baby is high up and you have an appt soon you should just wait but if you feel like you have changed dramatically by Monday then call your mom. I had loose bowels too just before my last doctor's appointment and at that last appt my doctor told me that he wanted to schedule to induce. I hope you have the best little bundle!!!!!!!!! Hi it could be anytime but with my fourth child i walked about 5cm for 6 weeks believe it or not and when i went into labour at 40 weeks and 2 days shes was born within 10 Min's so just be on your guard lol and good luck. xx

my doctor said i would be back in a week at week 36 i delivered exactly week 41 and i was in the hospital with over 40 hours of false labour 3 times before i went in for the real thing/ i would tell her to come just not to expect anything for sure

Some women have stayed at 3cm for 3 weeks before they delivered. You never know until the time comes. Sorry.

yep, you sure are pregnant.
i would say that you have about a week and half left, tell your mother to come out now, if she is with you for longer before the birth then thats a bonus (someones gotta help out with the chores)
anyway, congratulations.
i hope labor goes well and i wish you all the best for when your new baby comes out to say hello.

You know i was 3cm for two weeks so it could be any minute really. my son was born at 39 weeks
