The best idea is to search Google.com and Yahoo.com for teaching grants from your state. There is a need for special education teachers. I will also provide some other resources to help locate money for college.
First, fill out the FAFSA form because it will tap into need based financial aid from the federal and state governments along with the college itself.
Second, check with the college's financial aid office and website because it lists private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.
Third, the public library has a book listing scholarsips, and some of them are not even listed on a website.
Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered into a form.
Good luck!

If you have a particular college or University in mind, you can search their websites for funding opportunities as well. For instance, Vanderbilt university has many funding opportunities that come up at many points during the year. They receive federal funds for various teacher's degrees, whatever teacher shortages there happens to be in the state. And a degree from Vandy is nothing to sneeze about!!
Choose a school and research that school website -- there are tons of resources out there. And don't forget, you can always go the way of the student loan. You have to pay them back, but the interest rate is low and you have forbearance until you graduate. They are a pain to pay back, but if it gets you through, it will work...

In your library's reference center (I'd suggest the main library in your county or at a local university) there are several books that you can review to get grants. They will provide you with info to request an application as well as their requirements for those who would potentially receive the grants. These books have a very thorough index, so you can just look at the grants that apply to you. If your particular library doesn't carry a book that you'd like to look through, you can request it through interlibrary loan-- just ask your librarian. Just make sure you look at the most recent publications--- resources like these become dated quickly, so you want one within the past 2 years. I used these tools when I was looking for scholarships for college and my persistence 100% paid off-- I have 2 degrees and minimal debt.

Some of your other answers give you some good info--and here's some more. There are a lot of organizations that work with people with disabilities that provide such grants. The ones I know focus on visual impairments (see below) but there are others associated with organizations that focus on other impairments (hearing, learning disabiities, etc.) that follow the same pattern. The best way to check thes out is to go to the websites. Here's three to get you started:
afb.org (American Foundation for the Blind)
nfb.org (National Federation of the Blind).
acb.org (Amrican Council of the Blind)
