I have RX polorized glasses and it seems that the perefrial (sp) vision is much clearer..... is it just me?

they diffuse light rays uniformly, rather than just reflecting the light. this means you have no sunlight distortion or color distortion and can see long distances very effectively (eg: highway driving). they are also very good for boating and fishing, as you can see well below the surface of the water, assuming the water is relatively clear.

Simple. Polorized lenses reduce glare. They are good for driving or sports.

i got some cuz i moved to sunny LA and i hate the sun, i have extra big pupils and will get a migraine if i am in any light at all. i got some, they were really expensive but now i can drive around with the sun right in my eyes with no problem. they protect your eyes from uva/b rays i think whereas regular ones are just to make it darker and dont always protect your eyes. i love em!!

It's true. They are better because the block the harmful gamma & UV rays that come from the sun. If you are not careful, you can actually burn your corneas and eyelids when out in the sun if you are not protected.
