Barry sucks.
Beckham, OTOH, will be great for MLS, and I think the MLS will be great for him. It's obvious he's lost a step or two over the last couple years, but he still has a lot of quality, and that will shine here. His celebrity will help the league, and will probably help prolong his career, esp. if the Galaxy do well with him (anyone remember the NY Cosmos?)
Anyway, best to him. I only wish he wasn't going to the hated Galaxy... but since I no longer have a freakin' team, what with the nasty-arsed defection to Houston, well... Gotta go with what I can get!

I preffer David Beckham, hes one of the best players in the WORLD, you cant beat that.
Galaxy hasent been doing good but with Beckham on the team everything might change.

Of curse, but i don´t prefeer soccer over baseball. Beckam is a great player, but is going to be paid ala A-rod in a sport without much support in your country... that seems stupid in my mind.

i understand that ur a bit angry because beckham is comin over...
but WHY WOULD SOMEONE SACRIFICE HIS WHOLE LEGENDARY CAREER OVER FAME(specially in a club which is atleast not very famous for soocer..)
MY VIEW IS THAT BECKHAMS COMMIN OVER FOR THE 250 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT...AFTER ALL CAREER IS ALL ABOUT MONEY...INST IT...AND IF THATS THE CASE THAN ITS FINE..AND BESIDES SOCCER DOES NEED A BIT OF BOOST IN US..
