I'm on time.
Being on time is a matter of being professional and having consideration for others.
What if you went to the bank and it was scheduled to open at 9am.
Then, no one showed up until 930.
You would be furious.
Being on time says a lot about who you are.

I have been lately, because I always add 20 extra minutes to allow for any traffic tie-ups on the commute. Usually, I'm 15-20 minutes early, but every once in awhile I end up needing those extra 20 minutes to get around a jam, so I can't leave later and take the chance of being late.

However, when I worked farther away, I was habitually 5-10 minutes late.

No. Far from it. In fact I am very rarely on time at work. I am supposed to start at 8:30 am but I regularly rock up at 10:30 and last Monday I excelled myself and strolled into the office at 3pm. More often than not I look like **** and there is a thick stench of alcohol and cigaretted emminating from pretty much every orifice. I tend to put my coat on at 16:58 and am in the lift on the dot of 17:00. I love my job. Its rivetting.

Yes alway's. I like to plan my day when I get up in the morning at 4:30 am. I like to have 2 hours of coffee and just thinking before I go.

depends on the boss. at an old job i had to be there right at 8 am and take an exact 1 hour lunch to the minute and then leave right at 5 pm. it was AWFUL. no flexibility whatsoever.

the job i have now is very flexible. but i still get there at 8 or right around 8. it feels good to have that flexibility if i need it, but i still stick to the schedule pretty closely.

Barring disasters with public transport, yes.

I work in Central London so I always work on the principle of being one train early - so if the worst happens (and it often does) I should still make it to my desk on time.

Yes i am always on time. I prefer the option of sneaking off early to coming in late. i am punctual every shift so colleagues dont really mind if you say you fancy knocking off half an hour early now and again.
