They have to make sure everything is in order. It's very embarrassing if they miss something that can lead to a bad night when dating, or just having sex.
Even the birds wash themselves and clean up...feather up their wings looking pretty. If a bird can wash themselves, how is it that humans the smartest mammals on earth sometimes never wash themselves....it'sa horrible thought, but that is nasty.

I stay in the bedroom longer than my husband in order to get a peace of mind from him and the kids.

We have to wipe each time. Ya'll don't. Ya'll just whip it out do your bussiness and go. And besides when women are in the bathroom in a group, we are probably talking about you guys.

I can't relate to this question, since in my home the men are traditionally the long-term bathroom users.

to answer your question.. my husband takes longer to get ready then i do.. i get up, shower (5-10 mins), makeup (2 mins), blow dry hair(2-5 mins), dressed (5 mins).. and that is all the time i need to get ready and look like a millon bucks. ;) but that is my answer to you. ;D i have a guy friend that takes 2-3 hours to get ready in the morning, that is crazy!!! my husband maybe takes about 10 more mins to get ready then me.. :D

Because women have to check out their appearance and do lots of upkeep and adjusting.

well they have more things to take care of..hair, make-up..different plumbing that works a hell of a lot differnet than a man's..then there is the once a month thing also

I've always been curious myself. I don't get it. I go in, do my business and get out. Why would you want to spend more time in there? (I'm a woman)

well, they go in, they check their butt
they check their hair, then their teeth, then their butt
then they go to the toilet
then they wash up, check out their butt, check their hair, check their teeth, and head to the door
then they turn around, go back to the mirror, check their butt, get a side view of themselves, then they leave
