I work for a dog rescue centre in Syros (one of the Greek islands) and where possible we re-home dogs to the UK. However, we now have 4 of our dog transport boxes in the London area. Can anyone tell me the cheapest way to get them back to either Syros or Athens. We would even be willing to pay someone 50GBpounds to escort them to Athens if all else fails. Please help. we are a small concern and would rather spend our money on the welfare of the dogs than on plane fares.

Have you tried the cargo of air trasnportation companies, especially EasyJet? (try www.easyjet.com).

If all other solutions fail, why don't you contact your peers in England? I'm sure they'll be bound to find an effective solution!

Good luck!

contact the airlines that fly into athens from UK. Explain your situation, since you are basically a non profit organization working for the benefit of animals you may be able to find an airline that will transport your crates free of charge. Lots of companies due this as a charity. check into it you have nothing to loose. good luck and keep up the good work.

Train, I suppose. But if you get someone trustworthy who's doing a car trip to Athens to do it for 50£, that's even better.

Hi, sorry can't solve your problem but I wondered if there is a similar centre in Kos. I have seen a telephone number advertised but it no longer exists. There are so many strays here it's heartbreaking. If you do know of a centre here, please could you give me the info.
