Try drinking a glass of milk...slowly, sitting up of lying with at least your head above your chest. My doctor also told me to put slats or something under the head of my bed to raise it about a foot or two (since I don't have a hospital bed at home, or a sleep'o'matic bed) to elevate my head should relieve heartburn symptoms.

Hello, I have had very severe heartburn for the last 2 years and have tried many conventional methods with little to no success. fight fire with fire down that cup of milk or tomato juice and then sip on some nice ice water . really though sip little drinks to much liquid in your stomach alone can cause heart burn that why alot of pregnant women get heart burn because the baby is pushing there stomach closer to there throat and bread and crackers help ease heart burn by helping to absorb your stomache acid that is causing a burning sensation we call heart burn.

one teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 8oz of water....the natural acid neutralizer...I would have died years back w/ my acid reflux had it NOT been for this!!!!
