Interesting Question. I think Personality is one part of what would be considered Character. One thing that I do know is that Personality is tough to change after the age of 25. We all as humans get "set in our ways". Now can you change, the answer is yes.
How tough that process of change is depends on how much change you wish to make. My job is in helping people change. The best advice is to set up a plan to change small measurable things with an end goal in mind. Also feel free to get some help along the way.

PS....I made some change in my life....going from an Ironworker out of high school to a teacher at age 28 to a therapist at age 35. Good luck in your quest for change.

Character is something that you are (or at least should be) constantly working on. The character of a 16 year old is different than when that person is in their 60's or 70's.

Yes, you can. Your miind is very powerful and you can tell it, and train yourself to, change whatever you want to about yourself. I changed my character a couple of years ago, and am so happy I did. I am now happier than I have ever been.
