I'm getting married and I want to wear a halter dress. I have a cross tattoo on my shoulder that I want to cover up. Does anyone have any suggestions for a REALLY GOOD tattoo cover-up makeup? Thanks!

I've tried Dermablend and it's alright-it was just hard to match my skin tone(olive tone ). If you consider Dermablend, I'd recommend you go to a department store and sample it first. I know they sell the product at Dillard's. Good luck!!

If you haven't already; Ignore the smug remarks.

Why are some people so quick to jump to the conclusion that just because Allison wants to cover up her tattoo *one* time for a very special occasion, she shouldn't have gotten it in the first place, or might want to get it removed? I don't see anything in her question that says she isn't happy with it the rest of the time, if it's just an occasional thing then the trouble of covering it up would be well worth it.

Don't vote for this answer, no advice for any product, just wanted to support the tattoo'd folks out there :-)

Sorry, there's not much you can do that will look REALLY good i'm afraid, unless you can afford to have your tattoo removed... I would suggest having diamantes stuck on your back and shoulders in a pretty pattern and this should distract and partially cover the tattoos. This is a lesson that anyone considering a tattoo should learn.... don't get tattoos done in places that you may regret!!! I've got 2 tattoos, one on my leg and the other on my lower back, and they are in those places because i didn't want a tattoo showing when I get married!!!

"Inked" is a good brand that matches your skin tone and can usually be bought at a tattoo informery, or you can order it online. Also, foundation and light power will cover it, but try different blends.

Like the hundreds of thousands of people who realize too late they don't need or have any use for a tattoo I am sorry. Don't wear the halter.
