The reason Kenya has not been playing international cricket is that there are problems in Kenyan cricket that need to be sorted out first. They are having financial problems, their facilities are not that great, and their domestic competition is plagued with problems.

Whilst Bangladesh may not be travelling too well so far, they have a good structure in place that should ensure development.

Keep in mind countries take a while to develop, but can grow in time - take Sri Lanka as an example. They took around 10 years to really get competitive, and then look what happened - they won the 1996 World Cup and they have not looked back since!

Hi

ICC is avoiding kenya as they have already had a bad experience with bangladesh. Also a point to note is that kenya does not have a robust domestic cricket structure unlike other test playing countries. Agreed they have reached the SF of 2003 WC but it looks like they will struggle since no new talent is coming up.

Yeah well they should take more notice of Kenya, but its not like they don't play any series aprt from the worldcup. The ICC Tri series is starting in Kenya from 17th January. Three teams are taking part. Kenya, Scotland and Canada.

Bangladesh is far far better than Kenya. Look at the talents coming up...Bangladesh can be mid-level players in the coming years for ICC.
