Has an interviewer ever made snippy remarks about
your previous work experience or education.
What happened to me when I was younger I worked in
restaurant as a cook for three years,50 hours a week,
never missed work etc.
When I tried to move on to something else and got
an interview at a factory the interviewer said to me
You never really worked before had you? That what
I did before was not considered real work.Said put
down on your application you never worked before.
Said they were not interested in me.I felt insulted because
I was told in school your hard will be recognized no
matter what.

I would waste time thinking about it. One person's perspective doesn't necessarily reveal the truth. You know you worked.

I worked in a restaurant for 11 years. Went from cashier to prep cook to head cook, then restaurant & bar manager. Working in a restaurant is real work. But there are many people out there who will berate you for any work you did. It makes them feel better.

I have been on interviews where people were snippy or idiots, and in the middle I have calmly stood up, thanked them for taking the time to see me and informed them that, "I didn't want to waste anymore of their time, but I don't think this job is right for me." and left.

Your hard work will be recognized by the right person at the right job. Be patient. and Good Luck.

I was doing temp and a client going to a meeting kicked me in the butt as I sat on the floor filing. If I had a brain I would of pulled his long leg out from under him! Temp work will get you job experience..How ignorant of that dude. I had a lawyer tell me that and before I left we had an argument; requested back my resume because he was being short sighted on my accomplishments plus four girls in the front office doing legal work wanted to bother a very busy girl in clerk of courts about how to present a legal document..duh! That is a no no to bother that girl!
Chin up and go into the next job interview expecting to get hired! Line up several interviews or do temping for a change...

That is so rude! I don't see how what you did at the resturant wouldn't qualify as work. Im curious to what you said in the interview. Ignore this "special" person and move on to the next job!
