I've always thought that the small ones like the MBZ SLK and the BMW Z4 are for girls and the Mustangs, Camaros, and Firebirds are also for girls, but some can be for guys. Is that true? What are some other cars for girls and guys, distinctively?

Hubby thinks "muscle cars" are Corvettes, Camaros, and Mustangs. But more and more women are driving them. ('Cuz we like to go fast, too! LOL)
I'd say stereotypically girl cars are Volkswagon Beetles and any kind of convertible. Guy cars are the muscle cars listed above.
Just my opinion. I have a Corvette - so I crush that stereotype!

Depends on your point of view, and what type of "chicks" or "guys" since I know gals that drive semis, and guys that drive Geos. Personally, I think the newer VW Beatle is a chick car, as well as the 3rd gen Mitsubishi Eclipse (it looks like a lipstick case with those grooves on the side). Any older car that isn't a pastel color I would think of as a guy car and would be immediately attracted to any woman having the knowhow and interest in that type of car. I personally own 6 cars, and half are Mustangs, but my wife only drives the 67, since it's an auto, and the other 2 are standard. A 'chick' that can drive standard shift is hot. Just my 2c

40 years ago the guys went for the big flashy cars like the Pontiac's and Olds and the girls went for the smaller cars like Mustangs. Strictly a girls car. Exception for men was the corvette. remember gas was 10 cents a gallon

Any white convertible, even a Ferrari, is a chick car. Beetle is for girls, Miata, Boxter, any American convertibles except the Vette, all are chick cars.
If you want people to know you are a guy, get a 4x4 pickup with at least 38" tires. Very few girls drive those. My wife won't even get in mine...

Guy car = Dodge Magnum, Charger. You could go with just about any classic muscle car, Chevelle, Barracuda etc...
Chick car = Neon, Eclipse etc

slug bugs (beetles) are definetly a girl's car. I've NEVER ever seen a guy driving one of those. You mostly see guys driving those huge pickups around. Muscle cars can be for both genders, but they are a masculine car.

The Guy car is the one that you can get the Chick you want to ride in and feel good. Which makes it the Chick car too. ;-p
