Human being = a physical body
Being human = having a compassionate soul or caving in to weaknesses There's a positive and negative making up the components with this one. "Being human' is far more complex than being a "human being".
One is strictly organic, the other is spiritual.

Human being is a curious mixture of good and evil. As he tries to cut out the evil and reinforce the good, he is said to be moving towards being human.
Being human is to overcome the beastly traits that a human being possesses in addition to his truly human qualities.
