it can be jesus, thought he is in the top ten.
jesus clearly has the greatest role as saviour.but he proclaimed that his disciples would do "greater" things. he also said tthat the greatest among us all are the same to be called servants of all.

however, Enoch had the greatest Faith in All history. it is because of the faith of Enoch that jesus says to everyone who has faith can say to a mountain move, and it will move.
Both Enoch and all his people were taken from the earth, so i have come to believe the word Ascended has complete meaning in this circumstance. some people use the word rapture but only as a post resurrection belief, while some others call this being 'translated' clearly Enoch has a significant connection to the mythological god of civilization. And the Heavenly city of jerusalem is where all these kinds of people are ascended too. the new jerusalem is not built with hands of men, it descends from heaven because thats where it exists.
Another great person of relgious context was Elijah and Allegedly Mohammed. but only because the muslims teach this tradition of his ascending to heaven and being greeted by greater prophets.

Other than my mother, who should have been anointed a saint when she got to heaven, i would have to say God. For those that do not believe in god then the most famous mortal I would say was Leonardo Da Vinci, great inventor, insight and imagination beyond his time.

Jesus Christ. Period.

There has been no one else that has changed the world ( the way he has) or has offered salvation. No one ever will, either.
