I know it's up to me.. I have a new car, dark blue, and dirt and dust accumulate quick, especially after parking out at nights with the houston humidity and condensation, even in 'winter'! Every several other days there's a 30-70% chance of rain, so annoying! In some ways I feel it's not worth my $13, but it's not good to let all that dirt sit on top of paint anyway, right? Thx in advance and please don't suggest coin wash, they're dangerous around here.

Actually there's a varying chance of rain in 8 consecutive days starting in 2 more days. But they're not always right though.

It's always raining in Houston. If you're ever going to get it clean, you're going to have to take a chance.

wow thirteen bucks... all i have to do is tell my kids that they can wash the car if they want and turn the house on... is virtually cost free... no it is not good to let dirt be on your car... then if someone brushes up against it, their butt turns into a home made brillo pad

You answered your own question. Dirt and rain mix and can cause oxidation to your paint or clear coat. Keep it clean and waxed if you plan on owning the vehicle for more than 5 years. A good wax job will go a long way towards keeing the vehicle looking fresh even if it rains.

Sure I would, never know when the weather man or woman may be wrong, anyway you look at it if it is for only 2 days before the rain the feeling of a good clean car is always great.

Well, where I used to live, we would wash our cars as a sort of "rain dance" since rain was few and far between. I used to live in Tucson, AZ. Now that I am in Chattanooga, TN, I do it about once a month, maybe longer. If you want to save the 13 bucks, you could always go to the local auto parts store and get some car wash soap and do it yourself in your drive...unless you live in an apartment of course...

I have a blue pacifica probually simmilar in color to yours. I usually wash when I feel like I have to be real careful walking by it in parking lots or the garage as to not get dirty. I live in Wash St. so we get wet. I wash every two weeks. The answer to your question for me is wait it out for a good day since you dont do coin washes. Find a cheaper car wash place. 13.00 seems high. We pay 6.00

Chances are, if you wash your car, it will definitely rain, but if you don't, there will be a dry spell, or just enough of a sprinkle to put that LOVELY spatter-marking all over your car like mine gets when I park too near sprinklers!! Go ahead and wash your car.....the plants need the rain.

If I were in your situation rather than wasting your $13 because it might rain I would just wash it in my drive way. That way I wouldn't waste the money and your car would be clean.

i wash mine knowing its going to rain,,i try and keep it real clean if possible,,and i wouldn't recommend a drive through wash,,over time these leave little tiny hair line scratches on a cars finish,,after a while you can see them really good, but yes id clean it,,there's always the chance it wont rain also,,good luck with it.
