Which team is taking home Lord Stanley's Cup this season and Why?

I say the Canadiens will come close at least. We're having such a good year. GO HABS GO! And I really hope no Leaf fans put their team down. Seriously, don't get your hopes up. You'll only get disappointed... lol

I'm a Leafs fan but I will admit they are going nowhere this season... They traded away every decent draft pick and prospect they had before the salary cap was introduced so it will be a couple more years yet before they contend again.

It will be an Anaheim vs. Buffalo final and Buffalo is taking the Cup home!

And if not Buffalo, then I agree that NJ would be the next best from the East.

Anaheim will slump the last half of the season, but still finish first. Detroit, New Jersey, Nashville, and Carolina will finish strong as well. When the playoffs arrive, all of them will lose in the first two rounds (with the possible exception of Carolina) and we'll see one of the number 6, 7 or 8 seeds take the cup. Probably Edmonton or San jose beating Montreal or the New York Rangers.

I will have to go out on a limb and say that Anahiem Ducks are going to take it, first of all they may hold onto the lead in the league standings. If they fall back a bitt they will still make the playoffs and they can defeat the teams there!!!!!!!!

I am a leafs fan, don't worry I know we're not going anywhere. I'm going to say Anaheim wins it, facing the thrashers in the finals.

some random predictions

Phoenix will make the second round of the playoffs

Edmonton will miss the playoffs

Buffalo will lose in the first round of playoffs

Anaheim will not make the final four

The best Canadian hopes to win it all: Calgary and Ottawa. Maybe they will play each other - that would be awesome.
