I am from Brazil and we do have pizzas on round boxes. ha-ha, only in America pizzas come in square boxes.

I think a square box makes it easier for handling. The straight edges are easier to hold as compared to a curve one. Furthermore, usually those pizzas which get delivered are carried in square-like bags, hence it's more practical.

a pizza comes in a square box so that it doesnt move. that way its not nasty when you open the box to the delicous pizza
