Not sure how to ask this but.. I feel like I constantly have the milk "let down" feeling. My nipples and breasts feel kinda burning/tingly constantly. I feel like it takes nothing to make me engorged. Could it be my bra? Do I just have that much of an over supply of milk? Anyone have any ideas?

My son is now 6 weeks old and I am EBF him.
He is showing no signs of Thrush or anything like that.

if you have an oversupply at this time, you'd be leaking and know it. you didn't mention how long you've been lactating or if you're even breastfeeding. i'm still breastfeeding my 9 month old, so i'm pretty good at knowing what's going on ....it's probably just that you're breasts are still adjusting to milk flowing in the first place. you mentioned burning/tingly feeling which in itself isn't uncommon, but if it becomes painful then you need to see your dr because it's probably mastitis. good luck to you! you sound like everything is fine and normal.

How old is your baby? For the first month or so I had this feeling too. I think someone mentioned Lanisoh. Also they have breast shells you can get to wear under your bra. This helps too. Burning feeling like it hurts or just like a let down feeling? If it is hurting and burning, it may be an infection. Usually if you have bumps or redness around the nipple it will be an infection or a clogged duct. Applying a warm compress to your breast will help ease the clogged duct. If it is an infection, you need to go see your doctor.

there's no rule on the type you're meant to sense once you're pregnant. With my first, the two my breasts and nipples injury up till 12 weeks. I had terrible nausea from 8-20 weeks. With my 2d, the two breasts and nipples began hurting at approximately 10 weeks, and are nonetheless a sprint gentle at 18 weeks. Nausea went away at sixteen weeks or so. all and sundry is diverse. do no longer use 'indicators' that your recommendations could fabricate to tell once you're pregnant or no longer. bypass take a try.

I had that too, I asked the doctor for a pill to dry up my milk in my breasts. It took a few days, but once it was gone so was the pain. I didn't like breast feeding. I didn't have much milk any way. I hated that my husband wanted me to breast feed, I convinced him after a few love making sessions to let me get that pill. He wanted me to be back to normal state like before I had a baby. If course if you like this, then better ask the doctor for advice.

Either breastfeed or pump to get rid of it. Try a looser bra. Lanolin helps the sore nipples. Warm showers will relieve fullness too.

sounds like you could have mastitis go to your doctors if it continues. try putting a cabbage leaf in you bra for about 30 mins. but put the leaf in the fridge first so it gets nice and cold. this helped my when i breast fed when my nipples got sore, it is also soothing. i know it sounds weired but it did help. good luck

I remember those days, that's exactly how I felt. I found an article on www.webmd.com that gives tips on how you can deal with minor problems like engorgement(although they don't seem minor when you hve to deal w/ them. lol.) http://www.webmd.com/hw/raising_a_family/hw91816.asp?pagenumber=3
