Manon Rheaume is the one you are thinking off...and there are a few more playing in the AHL,IHL,and other independant leagues.If a woman is trully good enough,she'll make it to the NHL,but its going to be very tough because of the physical nature of the sport

There was a female goalie who almost made it about 10 years ago. I can't remember her name but she was signed by a team and just next got a chance to play (as I remember it anyway...) So there is always hope!
