Come on Oklahoma, Oregan State? That is who Boise boast of beating. I thouroghly enjoyed watching them beat OU, but OU had a half-decent team at best this year. If Boise played Florida, LSU, Wisconsin, Auborn, USC, or even Ohio State they would get killed. We saw what happened last year when they tried to play a SEC school, Georgia kicked the shitt out of them. Great undefeated season, but get real, even your coach said that you should not be ranked higher than #4. Beating San Jose, Fresno ST, LA Tech, Sac St, Wyoming, etc. hardley gives you an argument as being the best team in the country.

Of course B.State could not beat the best teams in the country, anymore than Ohio State could beat the best teams in the country. In order for a college football team to boast they beat the best this great country has to offer, they have to play in the SEC. One week ago, lots of football "analyst" would have scoffed at that last statement, but after the Sugar Bowl and National championship game, few can argue that the road to a national title runs through towns like Baton Rouge, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa, Athens, Knoxville, etc... If you want to be the best, you have to play the best and Boise State simply doesn't play the competition necessary to be able to say that they could beat the best teams in the country.

that would be an interesting game between boise state and florida floridas defense isnt ready for all the trick plays boise state has up their sleeve but im not saying boise state is ready for floridas offense either,it would be a close game but i gotta agree florida would win, there not the best team in the country but they certainly should have a shot at florida for that right the ncaa needs a playoff system because theyre will be more teams down the line that could have the same argument, and yes oregon state did beat USC and boise state beat oregon state, they would have gotten close with florida and lsu wisconsin the couldve beat auburn again close and maybe a 3 point win usc they definitely couldve beat them and after seeing ohio state against florida i feel they can beat them too, back to the playoff system they need to get one looking back a couple years auburn not getting their shot this year boise state no getting their shot next year who knows it could come down to 4 teams who really deserve a shot at the national championship but only 2 teams will be able to go and thatll leave the other 2 teams and the rest of the world wondering what if

I agree with you, BUT why don't they at least get a shot to play for the championship (Playoff System). If they loose, they loose, but it would put an end to the argument. I'd rather see the National Campionship resolved on the field, that way you cannot argue if you lost. Why don't you hear Ohio St. tring to go out and say they only have one loss and they should be co-champs? Because they lost the actual championship game. Not because of a voting system or computer chunched out some numbers.

#5 is about right this year...They did what they did...Undefeated...Other teams with similar schedules didn't go undefeated so give them their due.

That said, they would get their head handed to them against the better SEC and PAC 12 schools.

If they were in the PAC 12 or SECond to none, we wouldn't be having this discussion!...They'd be 8-4 at best...Maybe spike to 9-3 in a really good year.

I LOVED Boise State this year but If I am a hot prospect with a choice of Florida, Miami, FSU, LSU, Texas, USC or Boise State, where would I go?

WELL DUH!!!!...Boise is the first team to drop off of that list if I am a top prospect...They are in IDAHO...IDAHO in November-Febuary vs. Florida or California?...IDAHO vs. SEC or PAC 12 when considering chances of being an NFL first day pick?

You HAVE to get the top HS prospects to compete in the SECond to none and PAC 12...To a lesser degree in the Big Tired Ten and Big 12...Going up against those teams would be tough but I DO think Boise could be competetive...Not everybody WANTS to go to a warm weather state...Michigan gets kids from Florida, Texas and Cali...Mostly those that don't mind being a Wolverweenie and can't get an offer in their home state!

SOMETHING TO WATCH...See how many BSU players go the first day of the NFL draft...If none do, that says something...If several go first or second round, THAT says something too.

The NFL will tell us what we need to know about Boise!

AGAIN...I LOVED Boise State this year...They were FUN!!!!

We need more FUN in the NCAA!

Put it this way. Had any of the top 20 teams had their schedule, 19 of them go undefeated.

If Boise St. was to play any decent team from and major conference we would not be having this conversation.

They go lucky as it is in the Oklahoma game who practically beat themselves.

They could beat some of those teams you named, but Boise State couldn't consistently beat a Florida/LSU/OSU. That doesn't mean they aren't a damn good team, just maybe not to that level. They should've finished ranked #3 or 4 with OSU falling to 6.

the argument is not weather they would Beat the best teams, its that they don't even get a chance to try. After having an undefeated season they should have a opportunity to keep playing and see how far they can go.

After seeing my Buckeyes just get Crushed by Florida , I think anything is possible , You never know about Boise State , they might have the talent , too bad we will never know , That's why we need a playoff system so there would never be a question who is the best .

They couldn't have beat Florida. They got lucky in the Bowl game and wouldn't get that lucky against Florida. To those who would say against my use of lucky, fine football is a game of luck. You don't get 1st down on 4th down, let alone twice like that, without luck.

i could not have said it betetr my self..IM SICK!!!! of listening to BO ST fans B I T C H about how they deserved a shot at the title...they beat an OVER RATED OK team that would have been killed by any of the top 10 teams in a bowl game...its hard to go undefeated so i give BO ST credit for that, but dont play SJST, SAC ST, WY, LA TECH etc etc and then tell me you deseve a shot!!!
