You seem to be having mutliple problems with your stationery these days - pens, paper clips & now your pencil. I think you need to assert your authority here, otherwise you will have anarchy & you do't want that, do you? I say sharpen the pencil, draw the line somewhere, threaten the paper clips with eviction from their drawer into a small box & separate the ink from the biro. Let us know how you get on; your office sounds fascinating!

It's a nightmare when stationary starts to take the pi$$ I had to have words with my hole punch the other day for getting a bit lairy. If you are satisfied with the pencils overall performance I should let him nip off early but if he's been slacking crack the whip and make him stay on!

Too harsh, but you shouldn't be sending a pencil home on his own, you should take him! Pencils are easily led.

is he still drawing a salary. Then make short work of him; you will need to sharpen him up so that he stops these blunt excuses..no shavings left behind either.

Depends really..........Have the pens gone home early too!!.....if they haven't, you might well have a problem pointing out why there is favouritism......lol!
