Concession, can mean to give up on a point usually in order to reach a compromise, ie to concede. In this context a concession given to a group of people such as children or OAPs for ticket etc is a compromise between full and reduced tariff the seller having conceded part of their potential profit

Although spelt 'incorrectly' ~ it means, if you fall into some specific category, you can purchase a ticket at a reduced rate.
For example: ~ Students may obtain a lower cost ticket for admission to certain museums where they may study at close quarters those things that are related to the course they are taking.
'Concession' can mean other things ~ such as
