I was looking at an old science book and say question about the nervous system in one of the test's. The question, to make it short, was ,"How do you think the nervous system of a sleeping person differs from that of a person in a coma?" I looked at my answer and find I didn't understand then eaither. Please help me with this science question. Since you're in school I think you may be able to help. Thanks! :)

The nervous system of a sleeping person is active but in an idle state while that of a person in a coma is in an abnormal state. The term "abnormal" nervous system of a person in coma indicates that the nervous system has collapsed or shut down and is not in tune with the cycles of the body

umm well when a person is sleeping, they can controol theirbody, and can move and wake up whenever . But when someones in a coma the have no controll of their body and they cant wake up.

with a sleeping person the body is more in control in what they do but with a coma they cant control any thing.
