Kobe Bryant is a high profile athlete, with a wife built like a Goddesss. Moreover, I am sure he gets flirted with and offer sex at least ten times a day, and a hundred times more whenever he steps on the basketball court.

Duke Lacrosse students on the other hand are horny young kids who through a drunken stripper party; but, oh no, they don't have the capability. They are pretigious people.

This is the true definition of racism.

You are a racist. Generalizing that ALL white people think that Kobe raped that white girl. I'm white and I don't think that he did, I think she's trying to get money out of him, just like those strippers are doing to the Duke boys. Any male is capible of rape not matter what color or social status. Talking about rasicm, you're the racist.

I honestly do not care much one way or the other in either case. I think it's a matter of letting the facts determine the guilt or innocence.

What the public "believes" and what the sensation-seeking programmers at our news media outlets want to "focus" on have no revelance to justice. Only the truth does.

Kobe was a scumbag....still is BTW, who screws whatever comes along. He screwed that chick, was rough and then told her to get her slut *** out. She was humiliated and charged rape when it was not rape.

The Duke Lacrosse players are also scumbags. Playing around with a stripper at a drunken party.....bound to be trouble. Did they rape her? No. they probably did humiliate her though.

The clear breech of justice in both cases was the state's prosecution. I honestly think that the people who sought prosecution in both cases should be fired and prohibited from serving as attorneys ever again.

One of the problems with the outspoken Black "community leaders" is their eagerness to jump on the bandwagon and start screaming "Racism!" when they have little actual facts to back them up. They alone have discredited every legitimate charge of predjudice. Kinda like the Boy that Cried Wolf!

They don't even understand what the word racism means....they are the people that keep Black America in the pathetic "victim" mentality that it finds itself in, unable to take any responsibility for anything.

And you really need to look up the definition of the word 'racism'. You use it as having the same meaning as 'discrimination' and 'bias'. The two are very different things.

You can be a 'racist' and never, ever practice what you believe.

As a white male, I hated the situation that Kobe got himself into. However, there was no doubting that something occurred with that woman. Whether it was consensual or not, no one will ever know. With the Duke case, there was no doubting that the guys could have done this. However, there was reason to doubt the evidence and the story that the young woman told, which was altered according to several reports. So, before you assume that race is the reason for the different beliefs, step back look at the facts and realize that the two cases are at different ends of the spectrum and that most people (all races) doubt the evidence and specifics of the case, not the person(s) based on race alone.

I think everyone has pretty much said it already. Two completely different cases. The girl with the duke lacrosse team has changed her story muliple time, not even just small things, now shes not even sure if any of them had intercorse (as you can rape with other things other than a penis) with her. None of her times match up, none of the DNA does, and her own friend discredits her. Whats racist is those boys were defiled and humiliated while everyone jumped to conclusions. Had she been white or those boys black, the outcry would have been just the oppisite. As for kobe i dont really know that case so i cant really comment on it. But dont go spouting hate, theres already enough in this world.

As I wasn't in the room in the Kobe Bryant case I don't know what happened there. However, in the Duke case, the "dancer's" partner called her a liar - she is NOT credible. This has nothing to do with racism - it has a lot to do with some dumb stripper trying to rip off rich kids that happen to be white. The district attorney deliberately played up the case because it was an election year and now admits the case is falling apart. She did LIE. In the Kobe Bryant case the woman who made the accusation had a reputation that indicated she was telling the truth. In both cases neither one of us was actually there, so neither one of us can really know for sure.

This isn't about racism - its about telling the truth. Racism can come from black people too you know, but I wonder why they want to act like the racist white people - that doesn't make any sense to me.

To "Mustang Susie": I am NOT capable of rape - to say that all men are is ignorant, and extremely offensive. All women are capable of child murder - see how patently ridiculous your kind of statement is? The idea of raping someone makes me sick - I would NEVER do that!

actually, i don't believe that the duke lacrosse players raped that girl because she had a lot of different semen in her that didn't include that of the players, her friend who was with her called her a liar, they hired her as a stripper, etc.

SOME people believed Kobe Bryant raped the girl because she had bruises on her, his semen in her, and they were all alone. People made a big deal about it because he was married- and supposed to be the golden, Italian speaking boy, not the same adulterer as the other professional athletes.

Edit: this is the problem. True racism exists. stop giving people fodder to assume others are crying wolf

I think your question is the representation of racism. That's an aggressive simplification of the two cases. I'm about as white as they come, but I don't think that either of the two rape accusations were valid. There wasn't supporting facts for either of them. Most people I've ever talked to agree that Kobe was innocent and were more skeptical of the Duke boys until more of the information was released. These were all white people too, mind you.

So who believed Kobe was guilty? I'm white and I didn't. I knew the only reason for the accusation was that the woman wanted money, that's why she filed the civil suit before the criminal case even went to court. That is what is was all about, money.

two different situations. the lacrosse team : its easier to belive that a stripper is lying than maybe a rich and powerful celebrity who gets what they want all the time . its not racism its people being jaded.

i don't believe either story and I think both ladies did it for publicity. Especially in the Kobe Bryant case. Freedom of speech I love it.
