Well, the people calling it evil are generally the ones that have kids, and it is NOT the fault of MySpace that parents do not watch what their kids are doing. They don't leave their kids at home alone, but they will let them wander totally unsupervised in cyberspace, and then blame the internet when their kids start talking to pedophiles. It is a very good site to connect with old friends and make new ones. I have been contacted via MySpace by people I have not seen in years, and I have made a few new friends there too. The problem is not MySpace, it is the TOTAL lack of parental supervision that has become the "norm".

Myspace is great. The best thing is that you can say pretty much whatever you want, the pictures are a little more limited. Everyone can make their page unique and choose what they want it to look like and what it says. It is also great for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones...and it is not as evil/dangerous as people claim. I can't stand all the people who claim Myspace is a bad influence just because they can't hack the thought of a site where people get to interact freely....And just to comment on other answers, the real perverts are the ones who put up those naked pics for everyone to see. Those issues surrounding the minors and stuff, just because they used Myspace to contact each other makes it evil? What about AOL, many similar crimes have been committed using that.

Myspace isnt evil, its the people on myspace who are evil, but the people who run myspace are making the effort to weed out all of the sex offenders who use the site to try to make it safer. I think kids like it because they can express themselves there, they can make friends and for some kids it may be harder to make friends in real life.

Kids dig 'myspace' cause it's 'hip' and 'rad'.
Their parents are such 'squares' cause they don't understand how cool myspace is. It's a place where groovy dudes and chicks can hang out and get to know each other. Bands can post their songs, and information about themselves.
Of course, there are some predators that like to 'chill' on myspace, looking for underage boys and girls who aren't hip to the advice of not giving out their home addresses to people who appear to be fellow cool dudes and dudettes, but turn out to actually be sexual deviants who will probably end up on 'to catch a predator'.

I love myspace! I would not use it for dating, but it has helped me re-connect and get back in contact with some really good friends. (im an airforce brat)
People just need to be careful and put their profile on private if they dont want their info splashed around. Other than that, I think it is a really great site.

Satan is always looking for ways to tempt people. Kids aren't fully mature and don't always understand the differences between something good and something evil. Nothing positive has ever resulted from MySpace: It's a waste of time and resources. It causes conflicts amoung friends, marriages, and families. It's a place for creaps to hang out.

I dont think myspace is evil. kids just like to communicate with each other this way, and also they like to make new friends this way. It is up to them to use their own judgement of who is evil and who is not. othewise I think myspace is fine.
