These 2 Musical legends have long been gone and i am still waiting for new musicans to replace them,it now over 30 years that Hendrix died and 40 years ago Coltrane passed away none has filled these guys shoes and i dont think anyone ever will!!!!!!

You answered your own question. No one will come close to filling either of there shoes. I think there will be some legends and revolutionary musicians but Coltrane and Hendrix won't be touched in there respected genres.
Although Lil Wayne might have a shot.

Whatever talent comes along will be their own person and have unique talent. By knowing what the legends have given to us, it's important to cherish thier talents while they're still here.
I know he's not a guitarist, but the greatest musical talent I have seen recently is Chis Botti. That dude can sing thorugh his horn! I'm not kidding. He is the greatet musician of our time, right here and now.
I just saw him concert Monday night. His BUS was parked outside and you could see inside the massive motorhome. he was playing Tony Hawk game before the concert!
