If you get what it is they're doing, they're awesome. If you look at them as a serious metal band, they're terrible. GWAR is not meant to be taken seriously. The members of the band consider it a joke, why should WE be serious about it?

they are more of a show band,the music sucks but the live show is a blast.gor gor might be a song thats semi descent.

The guys above this answer don't know wgat they're talking about. Go listen to Womb With a View or Immortal Corruptor. Hell, go listen to Lust in Space, Metal Metal Land, Bring Back The Bomb, Surf of Sin, Warghoul, or Abyss of Woe. I can name all of those off of the top of my head, and after hearing those you can't just say GWAR is "terrible".
