i wanted to know if the e6300 processor has a lot of difference than the intel D 2.80ghz?

Yes the Intel 6300 Core 2 Duo is a true dual core chip.

The Intel D chip is a lot slower and not a true dual core.

The 6300 is about 200$ US.
