Footsteps of childhood slowly disappeared behind the misty haze of city life.I looked around to find the innocent smile, the wide-eyed gaze, all I could find was cynicism. Did I lose the child in me? I shivered at the thought. did finally become, one of them?? One of the adults I smirked at as a 13-year-old? I closed my eyes and looked deep inside, and there she was, the little phoenix I knew years back. I wanted her back. she smiled and said "i was never away, I am the one who feels the bliss when raindrops touches your face, when the smell of the wet earth wafts in I am the one who closes my eyes and feels like I am in heaven, you can never shut me out, try as hard as you want" I opened my eyes and smiled, the smile of self discovery. just wanted to share this with anyone who missed their childhood.

through the years, i've come to realize that in the eyes of any adult still resides a youthful vibe. what i'm trying to describe is a glow so electric, it pulses and connects with each and every single head. the same glow grows larger and wider like a sea of limitless expectations. unfortunately, some eyes are jaded and are blinded with their perception of "reality", a travesty that miraculously hasn't infiltrated the masses. i've contemplated the idea that adults are nothing but big kids, but with more money and responsibility, yet with the same subtle nuances they've had since they've been climbin trees. adults still like big toys, women and men still bicker like girls and boys. temper tantrums, selfish pride, are now settled thru lawsuits and the willingness to destroy. on the sunny side, creativity is encouraged, playin games well helps assets flourish, and the footsteps of childhood are still here, but just a little bigger. are you with me? if not, come for a ride into my mental, where i belive that childhood has grown into a land that is more existential.

What a beautiful reflection. Sometimes I miss not having responsibilities and carelessness of childhood. My childhood wasn't always the greatest so I don't miss it too much. But now that I hit 30 I find myself looking back at my college years and missing those times. But I know sometime in the future I'll reflect back and miss the times I'm in now. So it's nice to stop and reflect back on warm and happy times, but you can't walk forward and while looking backwards. So be excited about the good times coming up!

I want to forever be a kid, innocent and naive and run around in circles until I get dizzy on a big field of grass and fall and laugh at the sky and be intrigued by everything and everyone in the world and be full of millions of questions to ask and be oblivious to all the horrible things in the world and be in the comfort and arms of my parents and siblings and be forever happy and truly blissful.

yes I do miss my childhood

I could honestly say YES!, I do miss my childhood. Life was so easy, not a worry in the world. My Grandmother provided me with the best as well as tried to protect me form the heartache I've experienced in my adult life. If I was given a do over in life, I do back and follow all the rules.

yes, I miss some of the good moments of my childhood and what I felt, and good memories, but one can not live in the past but create for the future, maybe I will make better memories in the future when I have my own children. But I won't forget the good moments of my childhood, instead I will try to make part of the person I am and enjoy my life now as I did then.
