At this point I would have to say that the Ultimate Fighters (UFC) which is endorsed by the athletic commission now as a bona-fide sport has to be by far the most dangerous. They fight almost bare knuckle and can use there knees to knee someone in the face and head as well as the can hit with the elbow which generally cuts the opponent open sometimes very bad.
So UFC fighting has to be the most dangerous in my opinion.

One can die of so many things. But what makes a sport the most dangerous? Is it the risk involved of a fatality should there be a slightest mistake in judgement? One of the most dangerous sport in the world is deep cave diving.

I think that boxing, is because it can cause you to go blind along with Hockey but its up on the list along with football because their are injuries you can get that can paralyze you for life but as for the NASCAR racing thing I am a fan of that sport and everything but I dont think its as dangerous as people thing because they have gone out of their way to do everything in their power to make the drivers as safe as possible.

Your body definitely takes a good beating in gymnastics!
Cliff diving is pretty dangerous oh and rock climbing with no rope.
