There is really no way to be certain. Some people go early, some go late, very few go on the actual due date.
And the number babies really doesn't have anything to do with being early or late either.
I have 4 children. They were all late. They were 7 days, 10 days, 5 days and 14 days late.
Just be patient. It will only happen when the baby is ready.
Congrats!

It depends on the woman. First pregnancies usually last until the 40th week as long as the woman is healthy and doesn't smoke, drink or use drugs. Many women do not go into labor on their own either. 35 weeks is still early to have the baby. Full term is considered 37-38 weeks. If your wife is pregnant w/ her second+ child, she may go into labor 2-3 weeks before the 40 week mark. Just keep an eye out for signs of labor, and congrats dad!

They can be born before or after 40 weeks

My first child was born 6 days before my due date (39 1/2 weeks)

I just had a baby and I was overdue actually, I had my baby 6 days after my due day. It was also my first. It's normal for your first pregnancy to exceed the 40 week mark. The Dr may even allow up to 2 weeks before they induce.

I've heard both sides, that first babies are usually early and late. I had my first baby at 40 weeks by cesarean because she was breech.

Your baby's lungs are developing further right now, so the longer your wife can go, the better. Best wishes for a happy and healthy baby.

If I remember correctly, first babies are usually born after 40 weeks. Not sure why, other than that it just takes longer. Most women I've known who had subsequent babies had them closer to the due dates, with shorter, easier labors.

I was the first natural baby for my parents and was born at 42 weeks. I didn't want to come out. My friend just had her baby and it was born at 38 weeks. Just depends on the woman and the baby.

Most of the time first pregnancies go over the "due" date. I was induced with my first at 41 weeks, but your wife could be one of those that has the baby early or on the due date

not really my two girls were born on the day they reach 41 weeks and of course that's if the mother knows the first day of her last period, and some kids just want to know their parents a little faster, also it depends on the mother if she keeps a strict diet and enough exercise the pregnancy should be in good timing, my diet consisted of low salt and sugar, no sodas of any kind, no chili of picante sauce of any kind, lemon or sour seasoning when needed, I just to eat mostly fruits, vegetables, lots of water, natural juices, avocados good for the baby and the mother, beans, lentils, rice, low in red meat ate mostly chicken or turkey no pork , this is not all I ate but for some people it sure seem complicated to keep something like this but all of this gave me strength and keep my babies healthy and they where born naturally because they were the normal weight, sometimes babies tend to born overweight because what the mothers eat and c-section is needed but mothers should keep in mind that at that special time is not only one person eating there are two.

I think 39 weeks is the full term time frame. 4.3 weeks per month times 9 equals 39 weeks.

Early babies can have some things (lungs) undeveloped. So you really want them to go full term. That is what labor is for it is the start of natural delivery.

Inducing or Cesarean is important for some people but normal labor and delivery lets you know when that baby is full term. Most Mothers can get through labor and delivery just fine. We were
built for it.
