When you decide to live together there is no yours or mine anymore iIt has to be ours. Otherwise it creates an atmosphere of distrust that can kill the relationship

In a family situation everything is each others business, if that is a husband wants to know how many tampons you have left, things like this.

Otherwise one should not be living with anyone. If it effects the other person it is there business....

I think that would depend on how private you are with your significant other. If you are very open with them and have nothing to hide as I feel it should be when you are in a relationship then there should be no 'their and your business". I think separation like that leads to doubt and trust issues.

There is never a reason to feel like something is none of the other persons business when you have a very close bond and trust each other.

You shouldn't be afraid to share anything with each other. I could understand keeping separate checking accounts/credit cards until you are engaged or married, but I think that should be it. You should still work together to pay bills as a married couple I think. The division doesn't have to be 50/50 (because you're not just roommates), but if that's your choice, then fine. If you mean one person has the "i'll do whatever I please, I don't have to answer to you" attitude, that sucks.

When you live with your significant other, you need to respect their private things like email passwords, diaries, passcodes, etc. If you're married, then you should share bank codes and other info because you do become one. However, email is email, and you should know passwords (when you're married), just to know them, but not abuse them. Don't go snooping. Email is private. However if you think the other is cheating, then you have reason to suspect to save your dignity.

It depends on the person but here are a few basics:
Do not open his mail.
Do not read his opened mail.
Do not look at his call history in his cell phone.
Do not eavesdrop on his phone calls.
Do not interrogate him about his personal life.
Do not try to get his password so you can read his e-mail.

I'm sure that others can add to this list.

That is something that the two of you need to define. If you have open communication, then the two of you can agree on what business needs to be private....if any.

I believe when you live with someone your business and their business really become one business.
