any Ian Irvine books apart from "a shadow on the glass quartet" worth a gander?

any other authers worth havin a look at.
and does anyone know if the northern lights trilogy will be out on film soon, read the books many times and probably got higher hopes for the films than i shud...
any opinions from the book freaks out there?
