for valentines day I want to surprise my mom with something cool, but I dont know what. I was thinking of giving her a surprise breckfast but she eats at midnight and thats why she never eats breckfast. I was also thinking of making a tray of flowers, and bath beads, and all sorts of nice heart-shaped and red things, but that is already about 30$ if I do all of that. and all I have is 30$. its dificult to buy her a box of chocolates when she is on a diet. I dont know what to do for her. every year I just give her a boring old card but this year I want to do something big for her.

If I were your mother, I would enjoy spending time with my wonderful and unselfish daughter who is giving me so much joy to be around. So why not, go rent a girly movie, buy a box of light microwave popcorn and spend a nice quiet evening at home together alone. The movie you pick should be one of her all time favorites that she hasn't seen in a while. So from now till Valentines day, start general questions like this, "What movie has been your favorite movie, mom?" "If you were given the time to spend at home, what would you do?" These questions could give you a better idea of what you can do on a moderate budget. Its not the amount means its the best gift, it's the thought behind it. Have fun you two.

Get flowers from a flower shop around $25 and have a Friend take them in to her work and act like a delivery person they just have to say these are for blah blah and walk out. Most woman love getting them at work then she knows you care and can brag at the same time.

you can take a big coloured sheet and write happy valentines day on it and paste it somewhere in the house where she can see it, make a nice valentines day card yourself as handmade cards have more value than ready made ones. purchase some cheap gifts like a key chain , or something like that which comes in handy and gift wrap it very beautifully in a flower shape or some interesting shape and purchase 2-4 gifts according to your budget and gift wrap them all beautifully and lay them on the table or on her bed or where she will notice it and then hide somewhere near and when she begins to examine everything jump from your hiding and wish her a happy valentines day!!!!!!

i promise she will be very happy but remember everything should be HANDMADE or all will be spoiled!

How about the card with movie theater gift certificates inside Tell her you would like to take her to the show of her choice. You can buy the popcorn. Nice of you to think of your mom on Valentine's.

How about a hand-made gift ertificate book for things you can do: Take out hte trash w/o complaining, do the dishes, w/o complaining, etc. Vaccuum, wash the car, scrub the bathroom. This way it will cost you nothing but time, and you will be helping her out (that is if you don't already) :)
