i think there is more due to the fact that there are so many laws stopping you keep the bad peeps at bay. we are too relaxed on society today.

of course there are more crimes committed today than 25 years ago! due to increasing population, rise of technology and more people getting curiouser and curiouser with what will happen if they do this and that
cant really say, but there are a lot of whackoes out there now a days

I think you just hear more about it today. Same with teenage pregnancy.. its always been there but no one talked about it until the 80s.
