According to Bob Baer, a former CIA operative, while on the Chris Matthews show on MSNBC, the amount spent per day for the combined operations in Iraq and Afghanistan is approximately 5 billion dollars US. That is 1.825 trillion per year.
I am sure you can do the math. The Bush administration and Congress have been lieing to the American people about the true costs of the war. One must understand that this war is about the oil fields in Iraq and who controls them. The Iraqi oil fields contain the second largest oil reserves in the world. Dick Cheney and his former company Halibirton claim the oil production is now 3 million barrels per day. That is 65.7 billion dollars US per year in potential sales if the oil is sold at $60.00 per barrel. The major oil corporations are filling their oil tankers with this crude Iraqi oil and I would suspect they are paying no one for the oil, hence the massive profits registered by the big oil companies. War profiteering and cronisim is at an all time high as documented by the major American newspapers. What is going on in Iraq is a criminal undertaking, with no end in sight until all the oil is gone. The dissension and civil war in Iraq is perpetuated by the American Intelligence agencies as a front to hide the true theft from the world, the theft of the Iraqi oil by American oil interests, who are protected by secuirty from George Bush and the United States military. The profits are huge.

Really no money left for these programs yet schools are still open, people continue to get healthcare,I do I have insurance and a job.Social security has gone down the toilet before Bush got into office as long as the politicians borrow that money to pay themselves their luxurious wages, and his priority is protecting america. If we do not take care of those that want to kill us then the rest wont matter anyway.

Whatever the Congress has authorized and approved. Any president can propose how the tax money is spent but Congress decides.......
Just wondering .......
Were you one of the people last year telling the Congress to spend more for body armor for the troops? That money is in there - as the taxpayers pay for uniforms, helmets , boots , body armor, bullets, vehicles ,etc.

I lost track. I was too busy sleeping soundly at night, eating Pizza Hut until my belt broke, and watching the latest on the Rosie / Trump battle.

The Congress could stop him if they were united, but they represent a cross section of a divided America. Remember, five years, no additional attacks on US soil. That's nothing short of miraculous.
