I remember getting period like cramps when I was pregnant they weren't any more painful than my regular periods though. I remember running to the bathroom many times expecting to see blood.... but nothing.
And yes it's safe to sleep on your stomach now... if you like sleeping on your stomach get it in while you can cause there are a lot of restless nights ahead as you grow bigger.
Congrats!

The cramps you are experiancing is your uterous streaching. If it becomes to much to handle contact your OB/GYN. I know that you'r no where near the time for labor but that is like a real bad period cramp that comes in waves (no one told me that when I had my first baby) Yes you can sleep on your stomach as long as it is comfortable after it gets to the point where it is uncomfortable use a body pillow between your legs and sleep on your side ( I slept on my belly with my 2nd daughter until the 5th month.) Congratulations and Good Luck.

ok you can sleep on your stomach but you should try to get used to sleeping on your left side. its better for cirulation. also i had mild period like cramps till i was six weeks along. if your get any worse you should consult a doctor the cramps should not be that bad.

As long as it's comfortable, there's no problem sleeping on you tummy.
As far as the cramps, i would make a doc appt. it's normal to have cramping like menstrual cramps, but if they are almost worse than that, they need to be checked.

I got those annoying cramps throughout my first trimester with my first and current pregnancy. They do seem to ease off into your second trimester. There is no harm in sleeping on your stomach early on, but they do recommend that you sleep on your left side during pregnancy (better circulation to your uterus and baby).

I slept on my stomach until it got uncomfortable. Also..the cramps will ase after a while. Your uterus is expanding and streching and it will be a little uncomfortable for the first bit but it eases.Congrats :)
