Americans love being offended. It allows them to indulge in self-righteous anger, and convinces them that they are right about something. Most Americans have learned to think by watching television, and as a result, their logic is that of the "News" and commercials.

I wouldn't put it that way, BUT, we can take a joke. Tolerance has taught us to turn the other cheek when it comes to critism because we know, that being an American is far better than being anything else in this world. And if you find that statement hard to swallow, consider this: We have all these people trying to get into our country, not once in all my years, have I ever heard of anyone wanting to get out.

It depends on how you offend us. We are thick skinned when it comes to name calling and country bashing. We can LOL about those things. We can even take you goofing on our President. Just don't threaten our freedom or the safety of our loved ones and we can play with you all day.

My God tells me not to be offended. It is hard to offend a Christian. And in most cases virtually impossible.

Sometimes I think we love a good distraction or a good fight, and "offense" can lead to that.
