We've been divorced for 3 years,he still calls me wanting money and for me to buy his cigarettes,he doesn't work his on S.S.I and claims he always needs money for stuff.Help what Do I Do?

Send him a bill for everything he owes you, and tell him if he
ever contacts you again except to pay the bill, you will file a restraining order against him for harassment--then DO IT! And be prepared to have his sorry butt thrown in jail a few times until he takes you seriously. Best of luck.

Instead of giving him money, make him a loan of a couple hundred dollars. Have it drawn up and sighed by you both with a repayment schedule. He might make one or two payments but no more than that. After he sticks you with the debt he will not bother you again. I had the same problem that you have and this was my solution. It was the best money that I ever spent. Good luck

Say he had his day to ask you for money in the divorce agreement and he wanted nothing then so can have nothing now. Get tough, why should you support him? You are nothing to each other now so you need to treat him like he was a stranger begging you for cash and tell him to p!ss off.

You got a soft heart, and men who know that will use it.
Tell him to find a gf that will suppor this habit you have bills.
He needs to quit smoking.
Dont let people depend on you.
But if it feels wrong for you to stop (such as you feel guility) then keep buying them. Get him to do some work for you.
Barter with him.
You obivously feel sorry for the man and care about him.
Try to get him turned around........somehow

Get caller I.D. and when it's him don't answer the phone!! Change your phone #!! If you really wanted him to go away, you'd find a way!! So why is it you want him depending on you?? Does it make you feel important?? If you DON'T stop meeting his needs, why would he go away!!?? Tell him no more and then don't answer his calls!!

stop giving it to him. he will keep calling cause you always give him money. don't give into him. if he wants cigarettes or money for other things...he can get a job (if he doesn't have one) or he needs to get a better job (of the one he has is not making enough money for him)

Ignore his calls and avoid him like the plague. He's not your responsibility anymore and you don't have to give him anything. If you avoid him and don't talk to him long enough he'll go away. If he continues to harrass you call the police, he'll get the picture.

Stop answering your phone, get your number changed,you are allowing this to continue just tell him you do not have the means to be doing this tell him you are no longer married.
