Please explain.

The person asking the question said: "when one white family moves in, the whole neighborhood soon"turns white" From neighborhood stores being closed down, to move in the newest starbucks, to all of the white persons friends wanting to move to the same neighborhood.

Just like everything else- it depends on the individual person or couple. Being white, black, yellow, or blue doesnt make you nice, wealthy, clean, or anything like that .

If a "good" person moved into any neighborhood- it would be beneficial. If a "bad" person moved in then negative issues would arise.

There are all of these racist answers on here because that his how people are today- they see the skin color before the person. I would have thought after all the history this world has it would be the opposite.

No. It's all in the mind. A black family in a white neighborhood is no more of a threat than a white family in a black neighborhood. It's just a matter of perception, of bias. I believe more on the effect of a disruptive dysfunctional family moving in to a nice
neighborhood, people with no regard for their neighbors, like the ones I have who celebrated their baby's birthday by hiring a DJ with music blaring into the night that the other neighbors have to call in the police to stop it. The neighborhood has always been a quiet and peaceful community until now...

Why all the racist answers? This seems like a serious question wanting a serious answer. I personally believe that any one family moving into any one community can or can't ruin it. I don't really see the racial lines here. Look at this example: You live in a great neighborhood with really nice houses, yet, there's this house on the block that just doesn't seem to fit. It's for sale, and a 'poorer' family moves in. Your community is either going to a) step up and be nice, bring cookies, throw a welcome to the neighborhood cookout or b) shun them.

I change my answer, one family can't ruin a community, a community will or won't ruin itself

No! It is not the one family that destroys a community - It is when white people think that the only way to live is the way they do. Everyone else are savages. Hellenism. Ethnocentrism! That is what ruins the black community - but it takes a lot of people pushing the same philosophy. Not just one family.

I'm guessing you are flip-flopping a usually raised question.

My answer is "No," on both questions. Skin color has nothing to do with anything. If anything is ruined by a family moving in, it is a character flaw in the people that already lived there, white, black, red, yellow, or purple.

just ask the question you really want to ask instead of flip-flopping the question. and yes when black families start to move in white neighborhoods the white families peel out as fast as they can.

Rather than color, I think it depends on the characters of the said Community and family. I also think they only way there will be trouble is if they are white supremacists (which I don't think could ever happen).

A white family moving in a black neighbor is suicide. The dope fiends on the block will rob their house, steal there car, and turn there beloved home into a trap house.

Only of the white family never bathed and walked around naked. Also looked really fat and ugly.

--I was watching Friends last night so thats where the naked ugly comes from.

They think that a black family moving in still says: "There goes the neighborhood". (You weren't serious, were you?)
