Life is way more then what we "think". I also think is boring, but then I look at myself and if Church is b... than I am boring because I am the church, not the space where the temple is located. If you take a concrete church and take the people out and put pigs than is a pig house. I am not offending anybody, I am trying to make a point. We are the temple of God, and if you don't received the Holy Spirit or faith through the word of God in the Church, then we will fill it up with pigs, and that is when we think that church is bull, nothing make sense and eventually you will go also against those who are in the Church; even if is your family. If they invite you to Church is a sign of love towards you, if they bother you then is a sign that you have already thrown away the Spirit. Look at the answers of this questions and you will see who has faith and who doesn't. I will pray for you, and sometimes I don't go to church, but I stay focus and I know the consequences of my actions.

You seem overly agressive toward the institution and it's followers. Just an observation. Remember, the natural law of emotion dictates that if left uncontrolled, frustration leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering; suffering leads to pain and/or death. You have started on this path, and you can choose to leave it at any time.
Now onto this religious nonesense. Religion is a system of beliefs, ideals and/or understandings which an individual considers immortal and unchanging. There are 2 things wrong with this:
1) Everything is always changing, and when reality changes relative to one's beliefs, and everyone except religious believers adapt to the new reality, what will become of the fundamentalist extremists?
2) Ideals, beliefs and understandings are all concepts developed by the human mind, which all psychologists and psychiatrists will agree is geared to trick and manipulate it's shell: you. Therefore it cannot be trusted. Any time your thoughts disagree with your feelings, your body, your instinct, your heart, or just about anything else (except another person's mind of course, which is even less trustworthy), follow the advice that "feels" right. 999 999 times out of 1 000 000 you will have no regrets if you follow this advice with everything in your life.
Church attendees do not do this. Therefore they feel they need to band together for moral support, confess their sins, pray before a statue of one of the most brutal, inhumane practices ever conducted on Earth (perhaps in the hope they are given more mercy), and then consider the slate to have been magically wiped clean and they can go about being a decent, upstanding citizen with all the lame justifications for their sinful choices to boot.
Like a cherry on a bull cake, they take their advice from a book that's been edited dozens of times over the centuries to suit the dogma of the institution, thereby creating layer upon layer of hipocracy, oxymorons and idiosyncracies oozing off the pages and some of the best ironies ever written. This gives the preacher ammunition to back up anything he may want to say, on any subject, from any point of view, depending on what side of the bed he or she woke up on.
Have you ever seen a bible battle between two very learned students of the bible with seemingly opposing viewpoints. It is a magnificent display of verbal conflict, with metaphors, quotes and interpretations as the weapons and the bible itself as the casualty. Great catholic and christian leaders have converted away from the "good book" after battles such as these, and so the institution declared the act to be one of the gravest sins, equivalent to a public declaration of renunciation of their position within the institution. From then on, the term "bible bashing" was coined and any bible student caught doing such an act is immediately and unconditionally expelled from their place of worship. Think of it ... to question the word of the guide that all christians are to follow is something the institution considers deplorable. How can that be?
Anyway, that "law" has been slightly relaxed by churches since then, but not by much. It's still considered deplorable to challenge the "word of God", but most arms of the institution will forgive "lapses in judgement."
Now, heres a small task for you. Go back to the beginning and reread this whole response as if I were talking about another institution, like your government and it's system of law, or another religion, say Anglican, Islam, etc, or like the corporation and the laws they impose on your place of employment. I can go on ... Landlord, Bank, Parents ... Anyone who knows they have control over who and what you are. They want to enslave you, wield you to their bidding for their benefit, whether it's money or more control or them manifesting their fears on you or what.
Do you want to continue being a puppet, or do you want to make up your own damn mind for a change?

You should go(but that's just me). don't pay attention to what anybody else says. If you feel like going go, it's not like you can't go and not be able to read God's word or anything. You could try and change churches and see how that turns out. Church is not for everyone, though many people prefer to go b/c it makes them feel more close to God but you don't have to go if you don't want to. if you want there is a online bible called blueletterbible.com if you are interested if not blow this whole thing off, but do please consider it.

I think "church" is just a building. You have to have a relationship with Jesus Christ to understand why "church" the gathering of believers is so important.

If you would go with an open mind and really listen and not worry about the people around you and their opinions, you'd do fine.
Usually it's the people that hate that, that actually need it the most.

some people feel going to church makes you a christian -
but going into a garage doesent make you a car.
when and if you're ready - only surrender to Christ satisfies the soul.
