I am 37 weeks and I went to the doctor on Tuesday the 9th. She told me that I am considered full-term and I could have the baby anytime between now and my new date, but since I am a first time mother, it would be closer to my due date(Jan. 27). I have also participated in birthing classes and read about the symptoms of labor. Some of them being flu like symptoms, nesting, lightning, etc. I've never had the flu...so I don't know what it feels like. For the past couple of days I haven't been very social with my fiance, I have been just kinda lying around doing nothing, and I haven't had much of an appetite. This morning I woke up around 5:30 am and went to the bathroom, got something to drink, and ate the rest of a chicken blt that I saved from dinner. I went back to sleep around 6:15 am and since them I have been feeling worse than before. I've also had a head cold for about a week now. could it just be the cold or the sandwich? any ideas or shared experiences are appreciated.

I think you should call your doctor and let him/her know how you are feeling. It's better to be safe than sorry.
As for your not being very "social with your fiance, I think that is normal as you get closer to labor. You sort of start to pull into yourself a little bit.
Your body has been through a large trasformation and still has a lot of work to do, so it is normal to just lay around and even the loss of appetite is normal (I did this with 2 of my 3 children).
But to put your mind at ease call your doctor.
Good luck to you!

Well, I know all women start feeling really shitty a while before labor starts in. Ive been feeling crappy for a week now. Cant eat, feel sick, get the runs. Its just part of the gearing up process.

Between the cold, and your body contracting and preparing for labor, it just leaves you feeling crappy.

As long as you dont have a fever, arent faint, and arent seeing spots, you're fine.

You really need to tell ur doctor these symptoms
I just gave birth 2 months ago and before i gave birth i had the stomach virus. well i got dehydrated and i went into labor early 3 weeks early and to make matters worse when my daughter was 8 days old we found out she had viral meningitis which really sucked and she most likely got it from when i was sick. not trying to scare u just don't want another mom to go through what i did
