That you don't understand what they are saying doesn't mean that they can't talk. Dolphins even call each other by personal "names".

Mostly it is becasue the physical design of their vocal centers in their throat aren't designed for it, nor are the muscles of their tongues and mouths suited to it either. While some birds can mimic the sounds of human speech, it is simply a modified form of whitle. In truth, the ability to speak makes the throat and neck a very vulnerable area. That is why we can choke and animals can't. The ability to speak was not so important for animals that they developed it.
Of course animals do "speak" in thier own way. The various sounds that they make are a form of communication as useful to them as speech is to us. IN fact some animals, like whales and dolphins sue vocalization that are as intricate and complex as any human speech. We assume that because they cannot communicat in human language that they cannot think. Although I have noticed that animals can learn to understand human speech, sometimes in multiple language, far easier than we can learn to understand their languages.

MANY species of birds talk, and in context. This is amazing considering that their brains are nothing like ours. (there's a few starlings, crows, and bluejays who talk in context- not to mention the thousands of pet parrots).
Infact, basic language structure has been observed in finches (not considered to be the "smartest" of birds)!
... so maybe other animals CAN talk, the other species just cannot physiologically vocalize in the same way that people are "open minded" to.
The reason other animals can't "talk" is that people don't listen, and they cannot physically vocalize the sounds necessary to form human speech.

animals can talk in their own launage. In the animal kindom they will be thinking why humans can't talk.We don't understand their language, their don't understand ours. One do not even bother to talk to close ones why bother animals
They are far better than us. They kill only to eat. Humans kill one another for no resons. What a funny world.

The rumor is that they don't have the physical structures and/or development necessary to be able to speak. Of course, they could just not think we are worth talking to.

Just because it's not the human language that they use, it does not mean they don't talk. ( But, they ARE better listeners by far.)
