Yes it is possible but at the same time you must be VERY CAREFUL.... there are a lot of sickos out there who are very good at tricking you into thinking they are someone they aren't.

But if you both have a webcam... that can be a great way to prove the person is really are what they look like. (Pictures can be faked sadly.... such as stealing someone elses pic and saying its yours)

But never give personal information unless you have known them for some time and really trust them. Some people can easily give off good and bad vibes so listen to yourself if you feel a bad feeling or good feeling.

Another great trick I learned is... talking to the person then ask them the same sort of questions days, weeks, months later... if they give you a different answer or get upset with you then that's a red flag. A honest truthful and real person will give you the same answer they did before.

Ive fallen in love with a girl from England on line :-) (I'm in Canada) our on line relationship was solid for 3 years then we split..... it was to hard to keep going and neither of us could offer to travel to see the other. Plus we were a bit depressed too... wishing the other was there and all lol so we agreed we should just remain friends.
So yes it is possible :-) There may be a lot of sickos on the message and dating sites but there are also honest people too... just have to find them.

It is indeed possible to fall for someone on the internet whom you've never met before. But it isn't wise to become infatuated with someone you've met online... especially one that makes sexual advances and stuff, because a lot of online users are sexual predators. People can say really sweet, loving things online, but you never know what's in their heart. So make friends with caution and don't reveal very personal stuff about yourself. If you have met a true partner online, then a hearty congratulations to you... but if you still have doubts about this individual in your mind, then I think that you should listen to that voice that tells you something isn't right. Believe me, you'd want to do that.

I met my boyfriend off the internet.
We actually met off one of those niche sites, which both of us had joined as a joke and we weren't really expecting to meet someone long term...
... but, he took the risk to fly me to NYC (and I took the risk to go, figuring that the worst that would happen is that we'd NOT get along, I'd ditch him, and still have a "free" weekend in The City)....
... and we've been together ever since.

I've actually met alot of people off the internet.
It's best when you talk on the phone pretty quick and make plans to meet in a public place ASAP.

No sense in getting false ideas, infatuated with, or wasting time with someone you aren't going to click with. For that reason, unless I could afford it (haha- never), I never even wasted my time corresponding with guys long distance unless they were rich enough to afford the travel (and I was very up front with this). I had some great times!

Yes, it is possible. I personally know a couple that met on-line. They became interested enough in each other to actually meet in person.
They have been together for 4 years.

I met the guy I am seeing now 5yrs ago online. Besides my kids, he is my world. I love him with my whole heart. He brightens my days, even when the sun isn't out. He doesn't just make me smile, he makes my heart smile.

good luck
