I don't think you'd get the full experience of either book. You'd be crossing plots and information. It's best to stick to one book at a time.

It really depends on the person. I usually have two-three books going at once - but are usually different genres and formats. For instance, I can read a fiction book and a non-fiction book at the same time, and then listen to a book on cd in the car (but only when I am in the car). I can usually keep everything straight, too. I think I enjoy the books more when I have more than one going, otherwise I experience anxiety about only reading one book! When I finish a book, I like to have another book in progress already, so that I don't feel "loss" in finishing a good book. I don't know if this is the experience of others, but for me, it is very much the case.

I'm currently reading three different books, so I'm going to say yes, but that's my personal preference.

A lot of people can't keep different storylines straight or find the jumps between plots too jarring to read different books at the same time. If you're someone like that, I wouldn't suggest trying to read more than one book at once - it just wouldn't make sense.

My advice is to keep notes on things you read. Whenever I finish a book I write down things like important characters, setting, plot, and my impressions on the book. I've found it helps a lot, especially with books I have to read for classes. That way, even if I'm reading more than one book at once, I can still look back and know what happened if I need to discuss the book at a later date, and not get it confused with other books I read around the same time.

As long as you can take in what you're reading at the time, and retain it. I find that it's better to read one book at a time, but reading two at a time won't hurt you. You just might not get the full experience.

Yes. If you can keep up with the plots and keep the themes and characters seperated go right ahead. I've been known to read at least three at a time when I was in school: 1 in english class, 1 in studyhall and/or french class, and one at home for fun.

I am reading three books right now. It may take longer but sometimes I enjoy reading many at one time. If your comprehension is good to go with it... Why not?

If you can keep track of what storyline is for which book, then go for it. I do that. I'll read about three books at a time.

Yes, I do it all the time, especially if they are two different genres of books. As long as you can keep your characters and plot straight, why not? Go for it!!
